Vintage Concepts now marks its twenty fourth anniversary. The company was founded in 1981 in Napa, CA. The company is the inventor and originator of the Winelight®. A Winelight® is a ceramic, glass, metal, or marble "cork" with a cotton wick through it that allows any glass bottle or container to be used as an oil lamp.

The Winelight® concept started in the Napa / Sonoma wine country and was first sold in the winery tasting rooms and gift shops. It was developed so that the customer could save that special wine or champagne bottle and when empty recycle it into a decorative and romantic oil lamp.

The crafts industry is now using the Winelight® across the country. Crafters that do tole painting or decorate bottles by filling them with dried flowers, silk flowers, etc. use the Winelight® to finish their project into the perfect oil lamp. This industry is now responsible for a major part of our business. We sell product in bulk without packaging at special prices to the crafts people.

The Winelight® is made in nine (9) different sizes to fit virtually any bottle opening from 1/4" to 2 1/4". Additionally, the original Winelight® concept has now been expanded to 84 styles, everything from a ceramic or pewter Rose to an Aroma Therapy Winelight® (again available in both ceramic and pewter) is now available. The company manufacturers and distributes various accessories for this main product line. The Winelight® Flame Protector is a glass chimney that fits over the neck of a wine or champagne bottle so that the Winelight® may be used outdoors or in a drafty area. It also serves an excellent safety function where children are involved. The company makes six (6) sizes/styles of the Flame Protector™.

The company manufacturers the Winelight® Tube Lamp, this product consists of a glass tube that drops down into a bottle and allows lamp oil to be held separate from the bottle's contents. A tube lamp allows the customer to make an oil lamp in a bottle of bath salts, in imported olive oil bottles (while the olive oil is still in them), in sand painting bottles, even in floral arrangements, the uses are limitless. This unit includes the hollow glass tube, a natural Marble Winelight®, and a Flame Protector™.

Additionally, the company produces a series of gift sets that combine the various Winelight® products in attractive packages ready for gift giving. Complete gifts that only need that special bottle.

The company’s newest Winelight® line is a beautiful line of 29 different designs done in quality pewter. This line was originally introduced with 6 styles for the 2000 Holiday Season and was the hit of 2001. These are top quality pewter items with fantastic detail. This line is sold in a window box that is suitable for gift wrapping. We recently have introduced hand painted pewter designs, bringing color to the pewter world.

The company’s newest product line is our Vintage Scents. A line of the best essential scent oils available. These scent oils are all made in the USA and are highly concentrated. They may be used with scent oil burners, aroma-therapy burners, our own Aroma-Therapy Winelights®, or in the manufacturer of soaps or candles.

Vintage Concepts manufacturers its own brand of ultra pure Winelight® Lamp Oil. A pure liquid paraffin that is odorless and smokeless. It is a low carbon product and a long burning oil. We also manufacturer a line of Winelight® Lamp Oil Coloring Concentrates so that all clear lamp oils may be tinted to any color in the rainbow. Permanent colors that will mix with each other, never separate, and do not smoke or give off an odor when burned.

The company holds the United States Federal Trade Mark for Winelight®, and is Trade Mark pending the product in the European Economic Market and in the Japanese market. The company has always been in the fore front with its product development.

Today, the company’s products total 255 SKU’s and are distributed and sold on five continents. In addition to direct shipments, we currently have distributors located in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, Sweden, Cyprus, and Mexico. We are currently negotiating with potential distributors in Chile and in South Africa.

Today, the company markets 84 total variations of the original design, the original bottle wick. To maintain its industry leading role and position itself for the next period of growth and product expansion the company has just moved into its new 5,600 sqft warehousing facility.
